Papa Whairawa is a fee free part time home based and kaitiaki supported financial literacy programme.  It has been designed to give you the knowledge and skills to help make smart decisions about your money.

Over the nine months of the programe you will develop your personal money skills, understand better the financial products and services available to you, and how to set goals and plan for life events such as retirement.

With Papa Whairawa, you learn at your place and at your own pace as the programme is designed to fit around your lifestyle.  During the programme three kete (kits) with resources such as CD's, DVD's and journals are sent to your home.  You will also have ongoing support from your very own kaitiaki (support person) who will help and motivate you in your learning.

Papa Whairawa is a New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA) approved programme.  On completion of the programme you will receive a Papa Whairawa - Financial Literacy Certificate (Level 1).

More importantly you will be able to take control of your money by improving your financial smarts and learning how to make your money work for you and your whānau.
