Papa Ako is a fee free, part time, home based and kaitiaki supported ‘learning to learn’ programme, for students who are considering tertiary training for the first time or those who haven’t studied in a while.

It is a nine month bridging to tertiary study programme which can help you improve your learning, study, research and literacry skills.

During the programme you can learn at your own pace while fitting the part time study around your lifestyle.  A number of exciting resources, such as CDs, DVDs and journals are sent to your home with the programme and you also get ongoing support from your very own kaitiaki (support person).                                                                            

Papa Ako is designed to help you develop learning and study skills that will give you the confidence to explore and consider a range of possible career opportunities.

By the end of the programme, you will be able to study more confidently, and have the skills and readiness for the next level of tertiary learning.
